DALLAS, TEXAS (February 28, 2008) – Big announcement at Jack FM -- the creation of "The Sound Of The Strip: 100.3 HD-2." "The Sound Of The Strip" salutes the Rat Pack sounds of Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. and more.

"The Sound Of The Strip: 100.3 HD-2" premiered on Saturday, February 23, bringing a touch of Vegas to North Texas. Listeners will find themselves tapping, snapping and feeling like they have entered another era.

"The Sound Of The Strip: 100.3 HD-2" can also be described as "swingin’ music from the golden era of Vegas, when the Rat Pack reigned supreme and 'cool' was the order of the day", crooned Kurt Johnson, Vice President Programming, CBS Radio Dallas.

HD Radio is the next step in the radio broadcast medium giving listeners yet another free choice with their listening needs. It's the most significant advancement in radio since the introduction of FM stereo more than 50 years ago. This technology enables AM and FM stations to broadcast digitally.

In the Dallas/Fort Worth market, there is not another station with this genre of music. "The Sound Of The Strip: 100.3 HD-2" fills the missing link of Rat Pack type music and this station will continue to grow adding additional singers, comedians and more.
